For the year, the company now expects net sales of JPY 330,000 million, Operating profit of JPY 33,000 million, Profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 23,000 million and Basic earnings per share of JPY 776.43 as compared to previous guidance of net sales of JPY 325,000 million, Operating profit of JPY 28,500 million, Profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 18,500 million and Basic earnings per share of JPY 624.66. Reason of the revision: Consolidated financial results surpassed initial expectations in the first quarter. The Company expects that the business environment will continue to be favorable in and after the second quarter, especially for growth businesses, and this will likely lead to strong earnings. The Company anticipates that the performance of its Energy and Infrastructure Business will be strong, driven by the high demand in the domestic power infrastructure sector and the positive impact of continuing investments to increase production of SICONEX, a strategic product. In the Communication and Components Business, there is robust demand for e-Ribbon® for U.S. AI data centers. It is projected that orders for probe pins, which are used for semiconductor inspection equipment, will greatly exceed initial expectations, particularly in China. In light of these circumstances, the Company has revised its full-year consolidated results forecasts for the year ending March 31, 2027, that it announced in the Summary of Consolidated Financial Results for the Fiscal Year Ended March 31, 2026 (Japanese GAAP) dated May 14, 2026.
