Pacific Metals Co., Ltd. revised consolidated earnings guidance for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027. For the year, the company now expects net sales of JPY 10,618 million; Operating loss of JPY 6,185 million; Profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 134 million; and Basic earnings per share of JPY 7.71 as compared to previous guidance of net sales of JPY 10,484 million; Operating loss of JPY 6,006 million; Profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 158 million; and Basic earnings per share of JPY 9.09. Reasons for revisions: With regard to the consolidated financial results forecast, the outlook remains highly uncertain globally due to the effects of complex factors, including concerns about the stagnant real estate market in China, movements in the financial and capital markets, U.S. tariff measures, the escalation of the situation in Ukraine, and the turmoil in the Middle East. On the volume front of the Company's ferronickel products, the environment has remained largely unchanged, and the Company has been continuing with the policy of volume control from a profitability perspective. There is no change from the previously announced forecast. On the selling price front of ferronickel products, the Company also partly refers to the price of nickel pig iron in addition to the market prices applicable to the Company, so the revenue is restrained to a certain extent. On the procurement front, the prices of nickel ore, the primary raw material, and those of raw materials, fuel, and electricity remain high, which is expected to have a significant impact on earnings. In other areas, regarding the impact of the write-down of inventories, while the Company expects to record additional write-down of inventories for the first half, a reversal is expected to occur in the second half because of a reduction in the write-down amount. Therefore, the earnings trend is expected to differ for the first half and the second half in line with the previously announced forecast. Although the circumstances remain severe, response measures to address such a business environment are consistent with activities to be undertaken under the basic policies that the Group has set forth in the Medium to Long-term Strategy PAMCOvision 2031, and the Company will continue to strongly push forward with these measures.

The record date is March 31, 2026. Reasons: With regard to dividends of profits, the Company has positioned the return of profits to shareholders as one of the important management issues. It will aim to achieve a Dividend on Equity Ratio (DOE) of 4% for the time being while enhancing and strengthening its corporate structure. The Company will also use internal reserve as a fund to respond functionally to changes in the business environment and utilize the fund to secure resources, develop new technologies, make capital investments, and acquire treasury shares as part of its capital policies. With regard to the year-end dividend for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, in light of the aforementioned dividend policy as well as revisions to the consolidated financial results forecast ("Notice Concerning Recording of Cost of Sales (Reversal of Write-down of Inventories), Recording of Non-operating Income (Share of Profit of Entities Accounted for Using Equity Method) and Revisions to Financial Results Forecast" dated April 28, 2026), the Company has set the dividend at 75 yen per share. Pacific Metals Co., Ltd. revised consolidated earnings guidance for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026. For the year, the company expected net sales of JPY 9,414 million; Operating loss of JPY 4,971 million; Profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 2,610 million; and Basic earnings per share of JPY 146.04 as compared to previous guidance of net sales of JPY 9,138 million; Operating loss of JPY 6,507 million; Loss attributable to owners of parent of JPY 181 million; and Basic loss per share of JPY 10.41. Reasons for revisions: With regard to the consolidated financial results forecast, the global economic outlook remains highly uncertain due to the effects associated with multiple factors including stagnant real estate market in China, developments in the financial and capital markets, U.S. tariff policy, growing tensions in Ukraine, and concerns about the prolongation of the tense situation in the Middle East. On the volume front of the Company's ferronickel products, the environment in which the Company operates has remained largely unchanged. The Company has continued with the policy of volume control from a profitability perspective, and expects a slight increase from the previously announced forecast by taking into account the impact of a reduction in the inventory level on financial results. On the selling price front of ferronickel products, the Company also partly refers to the price of nickel pig iron in addition to the market prices applicable to the Company, so revenue is restrained to a certain extent. On the procurement front, the prices of nickel ore, the primary raw material, other raw materials, fuel, and electricity remain high and are expected to significantly impact procurement prices. In other areas, regarding the write-down of inventories recorded under cost of sales up to the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, the Company expects to record a reversal of the write-down of inventories in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, which will reduce cost of sales. The Company is also expected to record an increase in share of profit of entities accounted for using equity method under non-operating income. Although tensions in the Middle East have grown rapidly since the end of February, the Company does not expect it to have a major impact on financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026. Although the situation remains challenging, response measures against such a business environment are consistent with activities to be undertaken under the basic policies set forth by the Company in the "Medium to Long-term Strategy PAMCOvision 2031," and the Company will continue to strongly push forward with these measures.

With regard to the consolidated financial results forecast, the economic outlook remains highly uncertain due to the effects of the stagnant real estate market in China, high interest rates in the U.S. and Europe, growing tensions in the Middle East and Ukraine, U.S. tariff policy, and other factors. On the volume front of the Company's ferronickel products, the environment in which the Company operates has remained largely unchanged. The Company has continued with the policy of volume control from a profitability perspective and expects a slight decline from the previously announced forecast. In terms of profit and loss, on the selling price front of ferronickel products, the Company also partly refers to the price of nickel pig iron in addition to the market prices applicable to the Company, so revenue is restrained to a certain extent. On the procurement front, the prices of nickel ore, the primary raw material, other raw materials, fuel, and electricity remain high and are expected to significantly impact procurement prices. In other areas, regarding the impact of the write-down of inventories, while the Company expects to record additional write-down of inventories for the first half, a reversal is expected to occur in the second half because of a reduction in the write-down amount. Therefore, the earnings trend is expected to differ for the first half and the second half. Regarding non-operating income, the Company has revised the projected amount of compensation that can be obtained due to partial adjustment, etc., to the timing of entry into the electricity supply-demand adjustment market, where dispersed energy resources are controlled to function similarly to power plants. In addition, U.S. tariff policy could have a far-reaching impact, both in and outside of Japan, raising concerns about supply chain disruptions. While the impact on consolidated financial results forecasts is expected to be limited, it could significantly affect demand and pricing for the Company's business through the future economic measures taken by various countries.
